Student Council Symposium 2017 Announced

We are excited to officially announce the Student Council Symposium (SCS) 2017 which will be held on July 21, 2017, preceding ISMB/ECCB2017, in Prague, Czech Republic. Following our successful symposium in 2016, the SCS 2017 brings you an exciting program that includes an ice-breaking event, two keynotes, post-doc/student talks, and a poster session.

In addition, to provide an enhanced platform of sharing and collaboration, we will also include a session of flash presentations. These fast-paced, 5 minute presentations are designed to direct keen delegates to poster presentations.

This year’s symposium will be directly preceding the opening keynote and drinks reception of the ISMB/ECCB 2017 that you’ll be able to attend. There will also be a social event at a nearby restaurant/bar following the symposium. We feel this is a great way to network and get to know fellow attendees of SCS2017 in a more casual setting, especially if you are staying for the rest of ISMB/ECCB.

We look forward to receive abstracts of your research work. All abstracts will be peer reviewed for talks and posters. A select number of authors will be invited to give oral presentation. Following the trends of recent years, travel fellowships will be available and all presenting authors (talk/poster) are welcome to apply.

The ISCB Student Council Symposium, Prague 2017, is a platform for student, post-docs and early-to-mid career researchers. Only the participation of researchers and future scientists can make this event a success. Please share this event with your colleagues, friends, collaborators. Also, check out this website regularly as more information will become available soon (keynotes, travel fellowships, the program, etc).

Warm Regards,
